...saw special agent fifteen minutes ago - we saw each other walking down the street just as we were passing one another, and it took each of us a second to recognize each other, by which point we had already passed each other
(each other each other each other - jeeezus) but then i said, "hey special agent" and she kinda gave me the one-finger-in-each-hand point and said something I couldn't really hear. ...

i like this neighborhood for the following reasons: i decide after cleaning house for a coupla hours that i want a falafel. i realize i've left my wallet in my CAR which is up the street there. i don the jacket and hat and pumas and head out. sometimes when i walk down the street, i look at every one i meet. sometimes i talk to dogs. sometimes i talk to men who look like lebowski. even sometimes still, i don't look at anyone, half expecting a HEY MANDY or what have you from a passerby.
even if i knew no one i'd half expect that.
tonight it seemed that every group i passed was talking in a fer'n tongue. it was all poppin and clickin as far as i could tell. so there i am across the street from the agent headquarters on the corner, wallet in pocket, ready to descend on the falafel joint. oh, tonight was one of the sometimes that i didn't want to look at anyone. but to break the routine, i catch the eye of one dude and say under my brain cells, "that was "what's-up-raj" and just as i turn around he says "hey special agent!" and i say "i thought that was you, how you feelin?" and i keep walking and say "see ya in a minute, huh?" and now all of a sudden i'm in the joint, thinking, "i never actually said "hey, what's up, raj?" but since i've seen him, i've said it to myself probably about 57 times.
it's all about stimulation round here.
