Seasonal Produce (goddamit)
Today is officially the first day of fall, and that fact is already reflected at the supermarket. Not two days ago we were still eating huge, delicious candy-like Japanese peaches. Each personally protected with its own little white styrofoam mesh sack. And therefore each costing close to US$5, but somehow actually worth it once you take a bite.

Today, where the peaches once sat, there's nothing but figs. But, but...come on! I know there are still a few good peaches around. The weather's great.

Dammit. Ain't no arguing seasonal produce in Japan.

Fucking figs.
