Tokyo

Two doors down a small side street, just off of Gakudai shopping street that trails out from the station, in a tiny little dark-wood eight-seat room, you'll find the most lovingly and properly prepared coffee to be found in Tokyo. Beans are ground to order, water is heated to the exact correct temperature, different parts of the coffee are heated separately then combined in what you assume is the correct order. And it's delicious. The place has been there for 20 years, and has the feel of it — the menu even uses the kanji character for coffee instead of the katakana. And the coffee's delicious.
